REHAB's Outpatient Clinics in Hilo and Aiea will reopen on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 with health and safety modifications in place. The clinics were temporarily closed in response to federal, state, and city recommendations during COVID-19.
An extension of the hospital’s main campus in Nuuanu, the clinics offer patient services such as physical therapy and occupational therapy. The clinics will first open with temporarily modified hours. For the latest hours, visit rehabhospital.org/locations.

In response to federal, state and city recommendations, our operational changes have been updated to the following, effective August 12, 2020. Updates to previous changes are in bold.
Inpatient Updates
- Visitors will not be allowed on campus until further notice.
Outpatient/Vendor Updates
- All outpatients, caregivers and vendors must check in with security for screening. Entrance will be denied if they have a fever or do not pass the screening questions. If entry is allowed, a visitor badge will be provided and must be worn at all times.
- Caregivers will be asked to wait in their cars after check-in.
- The outpatient waiting area has been moved directly adjacent to the Nuuanu Clinic.
Hospital Wide Updates
- Hospital entrances will be limited to the Information desk entrance near the Physicians Clinic.
- Everyone must wear a face covering prior to entering and while on campus.
- Social distancing measures, including six-feet floor markers are in place and must be followed.
- Non-essential business should not be conducted on REHAB campus.
- Communal areas including public dining areas and the art lanai continue to be closed until further notice.
- Community events, including but not limited to Stroke Club, the Art Program and Make em’ Smile continue to be postponed until further notice.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Updates
- In an effort to build on existing supplies, REHAB is accepting PPE donations from the community. Details are listed below. Mahalo for your support!
- At this time, we are accepting protective masks (isolation or N95), nitrile gloves and isolation gowns.
- Only new/unopened items will be accepted.
- Homemade items will not be accepted.
- Drop-off schedule: Monday-Friday, 12-4 p.m.
- Drop-off location: Security table at the porte cochere located in the back of the hospital

REHAB at Hilo and Physicians Clinic
As a result of COVID-19, we’ve had to make the difficult decision of:
Temporarily closing REHAB at Hilo (effective 4/13/2020). Should you have any questions, please call (808) 961-5776 and leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.Temporarily reducing the hours of the Physicians Clinic (effective immediately) to Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (closed Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) until further notice.

All visitors, vendors and outpatients will be required to answer screening questions and have their temperature screened via a contactless infrared thermometer at the security table at the front of the hospital. Entrance will be denied if they are ill or do not pass the screening questions. If entry is allowed, a visitor badge will be provided and must be worn at all times.Hospital entrances will be limited to the Information desk entrance near the Physicians Clinic.All visitors, staff, vendors and outpatients must wear a face covering prior to entering and while on campus.Social distancing measures, including six-feet floor markers are in place and must be followed.Non-essential business should not be conducted on REHAB campus.Communal areas including dining areas, the gift shop, art lanai continue to be closed until further notice.Wellness Programs such as REHAB Strong are temporarily closed until further notice.
